Colin Todd will waste no time in beefing up his City squad for next season.
The League One campaign ended only five days ago and the play-offs kick off tonight. But Todd is well on with his plans to bring in new recruits this
summer.
With the new transfer window coming in, Todd wants his squad completely in place for the start of pre-season on June 30. And he is already close to unveiling a couple of unnamed targets.
"I've made a lot of phone calls already and will continue to do so. I've got a centre half already lined up to come in and I'm hoping to get one of the centre
forwards I want shortly and then I'll pursue the other one.
"I'm looking for a bit of variation up there to back up Dean Windass and Andy Cooke. One I'm after has got a little bit of pace while the other might be a loan.
"Hopefully we can get another goalkeeper in soon, probably next week, but I think the left back will take a bit more time.
"We've got no money but it didn't stop us bringing in players last season. Now that we are out of administration, unlike last year, life should become a little bit easier in terms of getting players in."
Todd, who is also targeting a left midfielder, wants strong competition in every position for next season.
