SHAMROCKS Under-12s B produced their best performance of the season to win the President's Cup against a strong Idle Juniors.

Played at Guiseley AFC it was Shamrocks who had the earlier chances with both Johnny Greenwood and Jack Bilney going close. Idle tried to break through but the midfield of Joe Southern, Matthew Robinson and Liam Fothrgill were rock solid.

In the second half Idle pressed forward but the solid defence of Luke Chapman, Ryan Turnbull, Robert Linden and Baines held firm. Bilney and Chris Lynch broke through several times, but with two minutes to go Idle scored. As Shamrocks surged forward Adam Williams was fouled and Fothergill launched the ball into the area for Idle to score an own goal.

In extra time a neat passing move between Fothergill and Greenwood found Bilney who chipped the keeper to secure victory for Shammies. Congratulations go to all the team including Danny Holmes, Ryan Ingham, Joe Daley, Matthew Craven and Matthew Baines who all played their part throughout the season.
