The Bulls battered Salford into submission at The Willows last night, running in 11 unanswered tries in a 58-0 romp to dispel the memories of last weekend's Powergen Challenge Cup exit.

Karl Pryce and Paul Deacon both notched hat-tricks, with Deacon nailing seven conversions for a personal tally of 26 points.

"The players know that if they'd played like that last week they'd still be in the cup," said coach Brian Noble.

They may have been written off in many quarters following their cup exit but, such was the comprehensive nature of the victory, predictions of the Bulls' demise now look horribly premature.

"It sends a big message," said Noble. "Salford caught us on the wrong night tonight and we still have four or five players to come back in to the side."

Led by Joe Vagana and Stuart Fielden, the pack were in rampaging form as they swept away the hapless Reds. A punishing first-half display laid the foundations for the rout.

"It's no secret that we haven't been starting well," said Noble.

"We set our stall out to do certain things and it worked for us. We were pretty composed in most of the things we did."

That composure saw the Bulls wait 27 minutes to finally crack the game Reds' defence.

Leon Pryce finally opened the scoring after replacing the injured Stuart Reardon and an opening try by brother Karl and Karl Pratt's strike just before the break established a 16-0 lead.

The floodgates opened well and truly in the second half, with Lesley Vainikolo adding a double to Deacon and Karl Pryce's hat-tricks and Rob Parker also getting on the scoresheet.

"It was embarrassing," admitted Reds boss Karl Harrison.

"For 30 minutes we played pretty well and even at half-time I thought we were still in it. But the power and pace of Bradford was second to none. I don't think our guys gave in but we were totally outgunned tonight."
