A green-fingered Bradford resident has been awarded third prize in a competition for blind gardeners.
Luke Demaine, who goes to Haycliffe School, Little Horton, impressed the judges with his entry into the under-18 category of the Blind Gardeners of the Year competition 2009.
The competition is organised by Thrive, the national charity which improves the lives of disabled people through gardening, and the Royal National Institute of Blind People.
Luke said: “I’m really pleased I won a prize for my gardening. I love gardening.”
