A 94-year-old woman from Oxenhope who was orphaned at an early age has met the tiny fifth generation of her family.
Susan Doris Feather, from Shaw Lane, said: “It’s a long time since I have held one of these” as 12-week-old Brooke Cossins – her great-great-granddaughter – was put into her arms.
Her son Eric, 76, his daughter Angela Clapp, 52, and her daughter Karina Cossins, 24, along with other family members, introduced Karina’s baby Brooketo Mrs Feather in a big celebration.
Mrs Feather said: “She is absolutely gorgeous. I have been looking forward to meeting her since she was born. People live longer these days but I think it is still quite rare to have five generations in your family.”
Eric Feather said: “I am very overwhelmed today and very proud – this is a great moment.”
