An innocent man suffered a broken jaw in a vicious and motiveless assault.
The 18-year-old victim was punched in the mouth in an unexpected and unprovoked attack by a motorist who he thought wanted directions.
The teenager was walking in Moore Avenue, Wibsey, Bradford, with two female friends when he was called over to a dark coloured car. The driver got out and walked to meet the victim in the middle of the road. He then punched him and got back in the car and drove away.
The 18-year-old needed surgery for his fractured jaw.
Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assault, which happened on Saturday, October 31 – Halloween Night – at 9.15pm.
Witnesses should contact PC Karen Harrop, of Bradford South Police, on 0845 6060606, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
