Bradford-born entrepreneur Judith Donovan has received a lifetime achievement award for helping smaller firms become safer places to work.
She was presented with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health /Sypol Lifetime Achievement Award after nearly a decade as the small business champion on the Health & Safety Executive.
Judith is in her tenth year on the board of the HSE.
She has also been the champion for agriculture, one of Britain’s most dangerous work sectors, for the past two years.
In 1982 Judith founded her own advertising agency which, by 2000, had become the second largest independent direct marketing agency in the UK. She was the first woman president of Bradford Chamber of Commerce and recently joined the Bradford-based British Wool Marketing Board as an independent member.
