The work of Guiseley in Bloom is being recognised with a grant for £1,600 by ward councillors.
The group, in existence for a decade, has worked to ensure that the town presents an attractive face, and it won a silver gilt rose at this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom awards.
The grant will help pay for the costs of watering floral displays in the town.
Councillor Stuart Andrew said: “The volunteers of Guiseley in Bloom willingly give their time and energy to improve the appearance of the town, so I’m delighted that we can give this money to help the group to continue to do a great job.”
Councillor Graham Latty added: “I’m really pleased that the hard work and dedication of the Guiseley in Bloom group has been recognised by their Silver Gilt Rose award.”
Councillor John Bale said: “Guiseley’s environment is considerably enhanced by the work of Guiseley in Bloom.”
