Police have been hunting for Charles Megson
Police hunting a rapist who went on the run the day before his trial and who might have been sleeping rough in the Shipley area have arrested a 39-year-old man from Frizinghall.
He is currently in custody at a police station in Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police were searching for Charles Ian Megson who failed to appear at Leeds Crown Court on September 28 after disappearing from a bail hostel in Dewsbury.
He was found guilty in his absence of an offence of rape, which took place in March 2008 in Wakefield.
