Bradford-based Yorkshire Building Society has set itself a six-figure fundraising target to help heart patients.

It has teamed up with The British Heart Foundation (BHF) to raise £100,000 to help people living with heart disease.

Society staff across Bradford and the rest of the UK will be raising funds as part of the annual national fundraising appeal until the end of the year.

Customers can support the appeal by buying cuddly Christmas decorations and reindeer food at their local branch.

Money raised goes towards the charity’s Heart HelpLine, which provides support for patients and their families.

John Faulkner, trustee of the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Found-ation, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the BHF.

“Heart disease is still the UK’s single biggest killer and will touch most of us at some time. By getting behind our national campaign our staff and customers can do their bit to help beat heart disease together.”
