Playwright Alan Bates gave the thumbs up on the opening night of Bingley Little Theatre’s adaptation of his play, Lust in the Dust.
He said afterwards he was most impressed, adding: “I think they have done a brilliant job.” And so they did.
The action takes place over two days in the lounge of Elizabeth’s house. Elizabeth (Jan Darnbrough) had the audience in stitches.
She’s a feisty widow living with her daughter Penny (Deborah Mouat) and begrudging son-in-law Barrie (Howard Clements).
Barrie and Penny are both having affairs and there are some hilarious moments when their lovers end up snowed in with them.
BLT welcomed newcomer Gerard Kennedy as posh Charles and Katrina Wood Fliss as Barrie’s glamorous American mistress.
Runs until Saturday.
