School musicians are embarking on a fundraising drive to raise money for a tour to Italy at Easter.
Fifty-three music students at Whitcliffe Mount Business and Enterprise College, in Cleckheaton, are planning to take part in the trip to Lake Garda.
To make it possible, the school needs to raise £15,000 to buy new equipment such as a digital piano, drum kit and PA system.
A number of fundraising events have been lined up, including An Evening of Swing featuring young musicians from the Cleckheaton area on Thursday, October 15. The students will be bag-packing in supermarkets and performing at the town’s Christmas lights switch-on.
The school’s soul band is also available for hire.
Collections will be taken at all the events.
Any businesses interested in sponsoring the tour can contact the school on (01274) 335182.
