There’s plenty going on at the World Heritage Site of Saltaire over the next week as part of the annual festival, including free arts and crafts tomorrow in the United Reformed Church and music on the piazza stage, while next Saturday there’s a fruit, vegetable and flower show in Exhibition Building, plus a market and funfair. For full details, log on to saltairefestival.co.uk Learn to skateboard with the pros at The Works next Saturday, when Nando’s Xperimental Skate Jam comes to the Leeds skatepark for the first time. The event will give you the chance to learn how to skateboard, improve your board skills, keep active and, most importantly, have fun. To ensure no-one goes hungry, all attendees will also receive a free Nando’s meal. Top UK pro riders will perform demos and share their top tips – perfect to help prepare for the best trick and mini-ramp competitions set to be held throughout the day. Leeds’s best up-and-coming DJs will be on the decks to provide the perfect soundtrack for the day, as well as plenty of giveaways including t-shirts, skate magazines and skateboard decks. Tickets for the Skate Jam are available on the door at The Works. For more information visit nandosxperimental.co.uk
