Bradford has been given a slim chance of being named the UK’s first City of Culture by the bookies.
The city has odds of 20-1 to be voted as the UK’s City of Culture by bookies Paddy Power.
Manchester has been installed as favourites at 4-1 while Hull is the 50-1 outsider.
Derry City, Reading, Gloucester and Cheltenham and Chester are all listed alongside Bradford at 20-1 while West Yorkshire neighbour Wakefield has odds at 33-1.
Paddy Power spokesman Darren Haines said: “It will be interesting to see if proud punters back their own towns with a bet.”
Paddy Power are also allowing punters to bet on the North-South divide, make the North 8-11 favourite to be home to the first City of Culture.
