A teacher has been rewarded with a national honour for his outstanding contribution to physical education.
Former England footballer Sir Trevor Brooking was one of a host of big names to herald the achievements of David Geldart at the Royal Society of Arts in London.
Mr Geldart, the assistant head teacher at St Mary’s School, Menston, has been awarded an Association for Physical Education award in recognition of Honoured Member status of the profession.
He has attracted worldwide acclaim for his strategic and practical work over the last 25 years.
