Friends and family turned up in country and western gear to say farewell to one of Bradford’s first-ever linedance teachers.
Great-grandmother Audrey Stone, 75, who died from cancer wanted today’s funeral service to be a fitting celebration of her life.
So she left instructions, organised the vicar and asked loved ones and hoe-down pals to turn up in stetsons, rhinestones and cowboy boots.
She wrote in a sealed letter to her four children that she wanted her cardboard coffin to be draped with the American stars and stripes flag and topped by her hat and boots.
Her 19 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including step ones, each gave a red rose and Abba’s Dancing Queen was her final song.
