Bradford-based photo-processing chain Max Spielmann has secured 700 jobs across the company following its purchase by the retail service chain Timpson Ltd, it has been announced.
Max Spielmann has 12 stores in the Bradford region, including shops trading under the Klick brand.
Prior to the Timpson acquisition, the photo-shop had been in administration and a number of stores had already been closed.
Newly-appointed chief executive, David Edwards, said: “Many of our branch employees are women and part-time workers. Our teams across the region are thrilled and delighted to have their jobs saved and futures secured. There is a palpable relief amongst the workforce. There have been tears of joy.”
