An alcohol advisory service is looking to recruit new volunteers to help provide free and confidential advice and support to alcohol users and their relatives, carers and friends living in the Bradford district.

The Piccadilly Project is based in Bradford city centre and offers a range of support to over-18s affected by alcohol use.

This includes one-to-one work, group sessions, advice and information, counselling, supported referral into detoxification and residential rehabilitation, and specialist and general health advice through sessions with nurses.

The project works in partnership with voluntary and statutory organisations in the Bradford district.

Lifeline Bradford is looking for volunteer support work-ers who can contribute to the projects.

Volunteers must have an interest in working with people affected by alcohol use, supporting individuals towards achieving their goals, reception and administration duties and using and developing skills in computers, media, personal development, sport, administration and other skills.

Volunteers must be able to commit to at least one day or two half days a week for work around Bradford.

For a volunteer application pack, contact Shakira Lockwood on (01422) 510000 or (01274) 735775.
