A burlesque performer put a smile on shoppers’ faces as she posed in the shop window of a Bingley florist as part of its Moulin Rouge theme for Valentines Day.
Performer Sara Cornforth was situated in the window of Flower Couture, in Main Street, Bingley, on Saturday.
Wearing a black and pink corset, fishnet stockings, top hat and feather boa, she performed burlesque moves and poses on a chaise longue for customers and passing trade.
Proprietor Julia Mather-Clarke said: “She’s been stopping traffic – literally.
“We’ve got a fire station down the road so I think they have been enjoying it as well.
“It’s classy. Nobody has been complaining – far from it actually.”
She said the shop had been busier than ever in the run up to Valentines Day, and she thought Saturday’s trade was boosted by the presence of the performer.
She said: “The credit crunch doesn’t seem to have affected people spending on their loved ones.
“We have been extremely busy, busier than any year before.”
