Yorkshire and England cricketer Matthew Hoggard was on hand to officially open a new pre-school playground in Baildon.
About 150 people turned up to see the unveiling of the playground at Baildon Village Pre-School, in Newton Way, on Saturday.
Equipment, flower beds, fencing and gates was funded thanks to donations from local businesses and fundraising events.
The money has also paid for resurfacing the playground .
Caroline Bailey, member of the fundraising committee, said the playground was paid for with the help of £3,000 from a spring ball last year.
She said: “The official opening was brilliant – there was an excellent turnout. Matthew lives in the area – he is a local celebrity and he kindly gave his time.”
