Firefighters successfully stopped a fire at a Bradford scrapyard spreading to an adjoining mill.
Crews from Bradford and Odsal attended the blaze at Lees Auto Spares in Mill Lane, off Nelson Street.
Odsal station manager Mike Dale said four scrap cars had been involved in the fire. The heat caused some windows in the mill to shatter.
He said: “Crews have contained the fire to the scrapyard, using four large jets.
“Crews in breathing apparatus have also made sure the mill was safe.
“The fire broke the windows of the mill building, but crews have gone in and made sure it hasn’t spread.”
Mr Dale said there was no suspicious circumstances surrounding the cause of the blaze, after fire investigation officers had spoken to the owner of the scrapyard.
He said: “It looks like it’s from the process of working in the scrapyard.”
