Friends stunned by Bradford UFO

A mum had an unforgettable start to 2009 when she spotted a UFO over Bradford.

Clare Harris, 30, of Low Moor, was with four friends at a house when they spotted a flickering ball, orange or white in colour, moving slowly across the sky.

She immediately grabbed her mobile phone and captured a fascinating video sequence showing the movements of the object.

She said: “It was just after midnight on New Year’s Eve. I was not drinking due to my daughter being ill. We were round at a friend’s house on Sal Royd Road in Low Moor and we had been sat around talking.

“My partner was looking out of the window and shouted for me to come and look. The more we watched the more it seemed strange.

“It was round in shape and was orange, flickering white, and it was moving sideways. It was very far away, over towards the Odsal Top direction.

“None of us could explain what it was and it stayed in the sky for a long time, then disappeared into the distance. We kept looking and about three or four minutes later another one appeared but only stayed for a little while.

“There may be a very simple explanation and I am sure everyone thinks I am a crackpot. I am not saying it was little green men, just that we don’t know what it was. Some people have mentioned those Chinese lanterns that people set off, but it seemed too far away and too bright to be one of those.”

This is not the first UFO sighting in Bradford in recent months.

In September, Richard Ing, of Westminster Avenue, Clayton, reported seeing a “massive fireball half the size of an aeroplane” from the balcony of his house.

Mr Ing’s description of the object prompted three other people to contact the Telegraph & Argus saying they had seen a similar object on the same night.

One of them, who did not wish to be named, said: “At about 10pm we were all sat outside in the garden when an orange ball-like object came towards my home from a southerly direction.

“It seemed to look as though it was hovering over the top of Wibsey. There was no noise coming from the object. The ball seemed to change shape widening and decreasing from time to time, then it seemed to reverse back and the light went out.”

I must agree with the previous comment. They are Chinese lanterns which people have let off. Sorry for the disappointment, but is true “no green men in the sky”.

I suggest you Google the topic to see where the same type of sighting have been seen above other towns.

Back to boring reality!

Hmm, I wonder why these sightings always happen on nights when people will be drinking a lot (although this lady claims she was not drinking).

Aslo I wonder if there is any life out there and if it is, why don't they land and say something rather than hangin in the sky for someone to point them out.

Also the party must not have been that good if people were looking out of the window instead of enjoying the do.

Hi everyone and a happy new year!
Between midnight and 12-30am on 01/01/09 we were looking out over the city from Baildon, when my grandson (aged 8) who, as a treat, was allowed to see in the new year noticed the same hovering lights. During the period we saw 7(seven) of the lights which appeared to rise in the Manningham area, float slowly down the valley towards Bingley. None seemed to make it all the way but the lights went out over Shipley Glen. As we were looking after a child we were definitely not under the influence, and at 8 we hope he wasn't!!. We also thought of Chinese lanterns as a possible explanation

Hello Moonmonkey

That name would suggest a cosmic feel, even though you don't seem to look into such things.

No, I did not see the light orb/s on New Years Eve/day.
However I have seen them VERY close-up on numerous occasions and for that reason alone, I have researched them for many years. They don't come as a suprise to me anymore and I only wish for people to do their own research.
Moonmonkey, could you enter a dialogue about Extra Terrestrial Intelligence? Have you heard of the Disclosure Project?
ANYONE interested in UFO Phenomena would be awed at what these top military and CIA people have to say about the subject. Most are now retires from the governing bodies and are no longer bound by their secrecy contract. They are the ones that know what and why this information is hidden from us. Take a look, you may be suprised at what is really going on in the corridors of power. Open your mind and your eyes will follow.

Wishing you well Moonmonkey x

It ain't anything out of the ordinary folks.

There can only be one Universe ("Uni" = One), so it is difficult to say that something may exist outside of it, though there may well be many levels of existence within the one Universe ("in my Father's house there are many mansions"). By that I mean to say different Dimensions, each Dimension consisting of many Densities.

I obviously cannot say for sure who they are, or whence they come, but cometh they undoubtedly do!

From Here to Andromeda opens with the possibility that humanity may not survive due to Global Warming, an ensuing Ice Age or Mass Extinction. Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth, has swept the world with the realization that Global Warming may destroy our civilization. The question is why doesn't humanity have the will to live with Sustainable technologies like Solar, Wind, and Helium-3 Fusion to beat Global Warming? Why are the oil companies holding us hostage? Why hasn't all of humanity awakened and taken measures to ensure our survival?

David Sereda, his Fiancé, Crystal, and their dog Nuala embark on a journey to find a way to travel to the Andromeda Galaxy 2.2 million light years away to find a new home for humanity. They explore the areas of Sustainability, UFOs, Space Propulsion Theory, Spirituality, and Human Ethics on their journey to solve the greatest riddle in the universe: How can you travel faster than the speed of light and go anywhere in the universe in minutes? Is it possible that Einstein was wrong? Find out why so many UFO's are suddenly appearing all over the world. Are they here to teach us? Are they here to help humanity make a quantum leap? What do World Governments know about UFO’s? Will humanity find a new home in the universe?

Find out how to solve the greatest challenge facing humanity, and what the experts are saying.

There are flying saucers in the skies of Bradford. I have seen one. They do exist.
