its not a UFO it was a sky lantern not little green men im sorry to say.

I must agree with the previous comment. They are Chinese lanterns which people have let off. Sorry for the disappointment, but is true “no green men in the sky”.

I suggest you Google the topic to see where the same type of sighting have been seen above other towns.

Hmm, I wonder why these sightings always happen on nights when people will be drinking a lot (although this lady claims she was not drinking).

Aslo I wonder if there is any life out there and if it is, why don't they land and say something rather than hangin in the sky for someone to point them out.

Also the party must not have been that good if people were looking out of the window instead of enjoying the do.

If they landed in Bradford they would soon take off again.

Those that claim to know that they are lanterns and the like, have obviously NOT seen them close up. I know what these light orbs are...Just google Light Orbs OR Lightbeings and you will know too..

i saw the "light" in the sky and if she had been in wibsey she would have seen there was more than one it's funny that as soon as someone see's something they cant explain it has to be aliens.

Hi everyone and a happy new year!
Between midnight and 12-30am on 01/01/09 we were looking out over the city from Baildon, when my grandson (aged 8) who, as a treat, was allowed to see in the new year noticed the same hovering lights. During the period we saw 7(seven) of the lights which appeared to rise in the Manningham area, float slowly down the valley towards Bingley. None seemed to make it all the way but the lights went out over Shipley Glen. As we were looking after a child we were definitely not under the influence, and at 8 we hope he wasn't!!. We also thought of Chinese lanterns as a possible explanation

No, I did not see the light orb/s on New Years Eve/day.
However I have seen them VERY close-up on numerous occasions and for that reason alone, I have researched them for many years. They don't come as a suprise to me anymore and I only wish for people to do their own research.
Moonmonkey, could you enter a dialogue about Extra Terrestrial Intelligence? Have you heard of the Disclosure Project?
ANYONE interested in UFO Phenomena would be awed at what these top military and CIA people have to say about the subject. Most are now retires from the governing bodies and are no longer bound by their secrecy contract. They are the ones that know what and why this information is hidden from us. i a do believe that there is life outside our universe anyone that suggests otherwise is very arrogent to say the least.but they were still sky lanterns on new years eve im sorry to say.

Can i just say me and around 10 other members of my family of all ages ranging from 10years old to 70 years old also saw this light at around 12:10 new years eve. only 3 of the ones that saw it had been drinking, i do not believe it was a lantern as it kept glowing very large and was also very very high up. aswel as us my sister and around 8 members of family and friends saw the exact same thing at approx 11:20pm-11:30pm in Hunmanby near scarborough. coincidence??? i think not i think we have viewed the same UFO and it was travelling towards us when my sister saw it.

They`re Skycandles. At the party I attended in North Yorks, we sent 10 of them up in the air at midnight. They can travel approx 1 mile up, using a 15-20 min fuel cell. They`re for sale all over the `net, even on Ebay! But Hey!, why let the obvious ruin a good UFO story?... Lol...

this is laughable, they were chinese lanterns i saw them myself, we were at an event on christmas eve where they lit some of these lanterns and they can be seen for miles as they are quite big

The so called 'movement of the object' is quite simply the mobile phone users own hand movements - they have 'zoomed in' as close as possible to get a clearer picture, but unfortunately when you do that, all you minute hand movements are exaggerated - if the picture had been from a camera mounted on a tripod I might be more convinced - try this yourslef on a clear night, just zoom into a bright star, and start filming. It ain't anything out of the ordinary folks.

Sorry to 'harp on here' but if you check the position of this 'light' at the beginning of the footage, then compare it's position at the very end of the footage, you will clearly see that there has been very little (if any at all) movement. It is still in the same position it was at the start. I think this one is just a star.

seriously , tonight is fri 9th jan and at about 630pm looking up into the sky i saw, regretably with no mobile phone to hand nor any means of recording, what can only be described as a ball of light, like a shooting star with a trail zooming light high above heading towards wibsey roundabout then disappearing ...!!
