A man killed in a road accident in Baildon has been named as 44-year-old Andrew Swailes.
Mr Swailes was walking in Otley Road when he was involved in an accident with a black Nissan Navara pick-up near the Shoulder of Mutton pub.
Pub staff and passers-by tried to help him before paramedics arrived but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Swailes, a married man, lived at Hollin Hall, Baildon, about half a mile from the accident scene.
The Coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held at a later date.
Police want to speak to the driver of a car following the Navara at the time of the accident, which stopped before driving away.
