A Bradford man has described the moment he saw a UFO in the skies above his home.

Richard Ing, of Westminster Avenue, Clayton, said he watched in amazement from the balcony of his house as it passed over Bradford city centre, Clayton and off towards Denholme.

The 40-year-old printer said: “There were eight of us who saw it – four adults and four children.

“We are all sensible people and were amazed by what we saw.

“It was a massive fireball half the size of an aeroplane.

“We got it on a mobile phone, which does not do it justice.

“Maybe someone else has seen it or can explain it. It was 8.20 on Saturday night. If I had not seen it myself, there’s no way in the world I would have believed it.”

Mr Ing’s daughter, Chloe Ing, aged 12, said: “It was like a glowing ball, it was orange and just kept going across the sky.”

Dont panic Mr Ing - what you saw was a fireworks display to mark yet another regeneration initiative - it tends to happen on a weekly basis, is usually reported in great detail by the T and A, warmly welcomed by the usual suspects .... and then forgotten about.....

My family saw somthing similar, but later at 10pm ish. We watched for over 5mins, the directions it moved /spead/change of shape, we cancelled out a fire lantern/firework/pla
ne/helicopter. A plane few close to the object, it seemed to reverse back and disapear them 1 min later came back to the same position and hovered there for a while. It must of had a motor but no sound. Can any one put light to this, i dont belive in UFOs What was it?

The people from out of space have heard all the good thing about Bradford they thought they fly over to see for them self. that why it was a very short stay.

How come nobody has a descent camera to hand when these things occur? Probably just a UAV or a drone.

Just read Miss Burns comments , very similar to what i saw . It was definatley not a latern or firework,it moved across the sky almost on a set path in silence approx same height as a low flying jet. I believe this has been reported in brighouse and elland...any more sightings ???

My husband and I and my 2 children saw exactly the same thing on new years eve. We were watching the fireworks from an upstairs window when we saw an orange light moving over odsal towards the city centre. Whilst we were discussing what it could be my daughter said "look there's another one" and another one followed it. No one we spoke to afterwards had seen it (and no we hadn@t been drinking!!).

I saw it over Ilkley, about midnightish on Saturday. A bright orange star thing with reddish orange blocks floating around it. The silence was somewhat disturbing. I watched it for about a minute, then it faded out, maybe behind clouds... Definitely not fireworks. I did consider a sky-lantern... but I'm hoping it's not ;)

I can confirm what Mr Ing saw. However what my husband and I saw were approximately 12 bright orange lights/objects in the sky all following each other. There was no sound and they were moving quite fast. I managed to get the camera out and took some photos which are very much like Mr Ings. a neighbour also vidioed them. I put this sighting on the HBCC UFO website at the time and my comments can be read there. When the photos are enhanced they are like large balls of fire.

Hi Richard

I believe what you saw are Light Orbs or Lightbeings. they are the ET's (Extra Terrestrial) scout ships. They come from the Sirius star system ans have been visiting us for a number of years. They are visiting pretty regular now and things are moving much faster on the planet. Have you noticed? There is lots of inform-ation on Lightbeings on the Internet. I would be willing to give you some pointers if you write to me at my sharonannbrown@yahoo
.co.uk. They are not to be feared and are our benevolent Galactic/human friends. Thank you for reporting it Richard; I for one am pleased to see, hear and read about their vists

THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE BEEN EMAILING, JUST TO CONFIRM THE DESCRIPTION IN MORE DETAIL...
THE OBJECT WAS APPROX 1/4 TO 1/3 THE SIZE OF A 737 JET...IT WAS ON A SPECIFIC PATH...MOVED IN SILENCE...APPROX THE SAME HEIGHT AS A LOW FLYING JET...MOVING AT A SLIGHTLY SLOWER SPEED THAN A JET..TO LOOK AT IT ,IT WAS VERY BRIGHT ORANGE, WITH NO OBVIOUS LINE / ANGLES /SIMMITRY...IT WAS CLOSE TO US YET I COULD NOT MAKE OUT WHAT IT WAS, ALMOST LIKE LOOKING AT SOMETHING WITH BLURRED VISON..
DISCOUNT LANTERNS ,BALLONS, FIREWORKS,AIRCRAFT, METEORS, ETC ETC..MANY THANKS RICHARD

I think it was a UFO, and it has been seen several times in the past. The reason it doesn't stay long is because it it just could not believe the reports of what is happening to Britain, and came here to see the truth. It will go back and tell their bosses that this country is run by madmen!

Totally agree with Richard's description, like looking at something with blurred vision. Like looking at lights through watery eyes.

Hi,

3 of us saw something very similar in the sky in Wibsey last night. It looked like a bright orange glow and at first seemed to be about the height of a helicopter and then seemed to get higher and higher. We watched it for about five minutes went inside for a couple of minutes and came back out and it was gone.

I wanted to find out if anyone else had seen it so I went on google and found this story. Did anyone else see anyting last night?

I too saw this on Saturday night around 20-20:30, viewing from Wibsey overlooking Bradford. bright orange/red object which looked like it was on fire, no obvious shape but through binoculars appeared to have a white/silver crescent shaped tinge to the front edge. It travelled over Bradford valley, north to south east, then stopped and appeared to be moving upwards and away, getting fainter until obscured by cloud. There was no sound. Very unusual, as I can see as far as Leeds/Bradford airport from where I live and regularly see planes and helicopters passing over the city, nearly always with sound, but nothing looking like this. It should be noted however that, this was a relatively clear evening at dusk and the sunset was quite stunning, lots of reds/yellows/blue, on west/north horizon and it is maybe possible that as the sun had recently gone over the horizon and although it was no longer visible from the ground, whatever object was above could still have been reflecting sunlight as it was obviously very high in the sky.

We saw exactly the same objects over the skies of South-East Bradford twenty minutes into the new year 2008 (Compare our report from 01.01.2008: http://www.ufowatch.
com/sightings/displa
y.asp?id=1715).

From Horton, Bradford these objects may have appeared to have been above Odsal moving towards Bradford city centre when in actual fact from our advantage point the flight path of these two objects seemed to pass directly in front of us (East Bierley, Bradford) from Birkenshaw/Drighling
ton direction and followed an east-north-eastly path (70°) in the direction of Pudsey/Bramley/Kirks
tall in Leeds.

When comparing our description of the flight path with the description from 'Hortonlass' and plotting both descriptions on a map we quickly realise that both groups must have observed the very same objects. However, a simple sighting of chinese lanterns must be dispelled due to the fact that both observing groups were in completely different parts of Bradford (Horton / East Bierley - at least 5 miles apart) but could both clearly see these unidentified flying objects.

Hortonlass, please contact mc1972 (at) gmail.com to discuss what you saw on 01.01.2008 - thanks
