Two long-serving Keighley and Worth Valley Railway drivers have been praised.
John Bradley and Ken Cook have stood down from some of their official tasks though they continue to be actively involved.
Mr Bradley joined the railway’s preservation society in 1962 and has since held several major roles.
As well as spending 27 years as company secretary, he has served as a train guard, diesel railcar driver and signalman at Damems station.
He is a vice-president of the society and will continue his task of organising volunteers for daily train operations.
Mr Cook has also served as company secretary, as well as being a long-time railcar driver.
He remains an officer, guard, carriage and wagon volunteer, and serves on the Heritage Railway Associa-tion.
The latest issue of Push and Pull, the railway’s magazine, pays tribute to the two men. It states: “Their practical contribution has been immeasurable – we hope they will enjoy their continuing roles.”
