Fundraisers have been forced to postpone a karaoke competition and fundraising night for Reece Walker-Sharpe.
Eleven-year-old Reece, above, of Dudley Hill, is battling a life-limiting infection contracted after he underwent a successful lung transplant in 2005.
Family and friends had planned to hold an auction night at Holme Wood Social Club tonight to help pay for regular trips to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London and a holiday.
However, the event has had to be postponed after Reece’s condition worsened this week.
Family members hope Reece will be fit enough to attend a rescheduled event later in the summer.
