TWO men have been arrested after an incident where 'shots were fired' on a Bradford road.

The firearms discharge incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning on Farway and Stratton View in the Tyersal area of Bradford.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police investigating a firearms discharge on Farway, Bradford, have now made arrests.

"Two men, aged 48 and 25, remain in custody after being arrested on suspicion of firearms offences in the Bradford area overnight.

"Enquiries remain ongoing into the firearms discharge which took place at 2:25am on Thursday, April 25. No-one was injured in the incident."

In a earlier statement yesterday a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to Stratton View, Bradford, at 2:25am yesterday (Thursday, April 25) to a report of an ongoing incident involving individuals in vehicles.

"Officers attended at the scene and found two unoccupied vehicles, a Honda and a Shogun, with collision damage.

"Following further enquiries, damage was also found to the door of a property on Farway which was consistent with a firearms discharge. It was confirmed that those in the address were unharmed, and they are being appropriately safeguarded."
