Air Traffic Engineer

Role specifics: Permanent, 39 hours per week (4 on 4 off + on call roster)

“Additionally, the role works closely with and supports the Engineering department in respect of contractor control, working closely with external contractors and business partners.”

  • To ensure the safe provision of Air Traffic Services and associated procedures, in compliance with regulatory and local documentation.

The job description reads: “Reporting to the Head of PMO, the Senior PMO Analyst/Project Manager will be a hybrid role, providing project management support in a portfolio of projects, identified as part of the 5 year strategy. 

“This will include involvement of the planning activities, risks and issues management, change control, document and configuration management, monitoring and coordinating tasks, negotiating and conflict management, representing the Head of PMO where necessary and project managing your own projects.”

Head of Marketing

“We are seeking a seasoned marketing professional with a wealth of experience, including proven success in leadership or managerial positions, to join our team,” writes the LBA website.

“The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of setting marketing strategies and effectively communicating results. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the aviation or travel industry, as well as proficiency in web development and agency management.”

A BA/BSc degree in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred, along with professional certifications in marketing.

Duty Support Officer

Role specifics: N/A

Providing a “snapshot” of the job, the LBA website says: “The main role of the Duty Support Officer (DSO) will be to support the Airport Duty Manager (ADM) with the operational needs of LBA.

“The DSO on shift will be the main contact for all day to day operational needs, escalating major findings to the ADM.”

It adds: “As the DSO role will mainly consist of being in and around the terminal, it is imperative that the DSO prioritises the customer journey through LBA.”

Some duties include:

  • Stand/Gate changes & belt allocations for the day, checking at regular intervals throughout the day to ensure that any changes to the schedule do not impact operations – liaising with AOU if any issues are encountered.
  • Responsible for overseeing outbound operation, ensuring Swissport/ Jet2 are complying with LBA gate/lane procedures.

The airport website notes "that due to security checks required for employees of LBA, all candidates will be subject to a basic criminal record check and must be able to provide a continuous five-year checkable work history without any gaps in employment”.
