A SOFT drinks manufacturer with a factory in Bradford has shed light on its decision to apply for a voluntary strike-off for one of its companies,
The application, for Princes Soft Drinks Ltd, was lodged with Companies House on March 22.
The First Gazette Notice was published on April 2 and said: "This company has applied to be struck off and dissolved. The registrar will proceed unless there is reasonable cause not to, and on dissolution any assets remaining in the company will be passed to the Crown.”
A voluntary strike-off is initiated by the directors of the company in question.
A spokesperson for Princes said Princes Soft Drinks Ltd is a "dormant entity".
It will have "no impact on soft drinks operations", the spokesperson added, and was purely done "to streamline administrative processes".
A Princes spokesperson said: “Our soft drinks business, which operates across three UK sites including Princes Bradford, has been trading as part of Princes Limited since 1997.
"Princes Soft Drinks Limited is therefore a dormant entity, which we have requested be struck off at Companies House, to streamline administrative processes.”
They added: “This has no impact on our soft drinks operations, customers or colleagues.”
