AN under-construction industrial development in the heart of Keighley is expected to be completed by Summer.

Plans to build industrial units on a site between Church Street and Beck Street were approved in 2021, and work is well underway.

Ahead of its expected August completion date, the site has now been put on the market.

Mark Brearley & Co is marketing the site, which includes four units, to rent for £40,000 a year.

The site was, for many years, home to George Hattersley & Sons - a world famous loom manufacturer.

But before the industrial site application the site had been derelict for years.

Proposals for the redevelopment of the key site, which have included a supermarket and flats, had never materialised.

The listing says: “Upon completion (end of August 2024 anticipated), the development will comprise four trade counter/industrial units, each of around 4,000 sqft, having a large yard/car park, with HGV turning area, loading areas, and car parking for 29 vehicles in marked out bays.”
