MUMS across the country will come under the spotlight this weekend as Mothering Sunday takes place.
Cards and flowers will be exchanged and mums will be pampered on their special day.
HERE'S a great picture of mothers from days gone by: members of Menston Parish Church Mothers' Union, the ladies embarked on a two-day trip to the bulb fields of Holland in May 1969.
Smartly dressed and clutching their handbags, they gathered for departure on a very wet Menston Station, which is where the picture was taken.
The women travelled from Hull to Rotterdam by boat and as well as enjoying the colourful tulips stretching for miles they also visited the Dutch potteries.
Maybe someone remembers their mum going on this trip? let us know: helen.mead@nqyne.co.uk
