A PEDESTRIAN was rushed to hospital following a collision with a car on a busy road this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on Hard Ings Road near the McDonald's in Keighley.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at 3.13pm this afternoon to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Hard Ings Road, Keighley.

"It was reported that the driver of the car had failed to stop at the scene.

"The pedestrian has been taken to hospital by ambulance. Enquiries are ongoing."

Traffic alerts reported that the collision caused heavy traffic in the area while emergency services worked at the scene.
