A group of friends from Little Horton raised money for the Pakistan Floods Appeal in 2010 by collecting donations of clothing and selling them. The Disasters Emergency Committee launched an appeal that year after unprecedented monsoon rains caused devastating floods.

Pictured are Tasmeena Hussain, Naila Gulfraz and Tasmiah Shah, with the clothes displayed on their colourful stall.

Around a fifth of Pakistan's total land area was affected, with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province facing the brunt of the damage and casualties.

Across the country there were almost 2,000 deaths. According to Pakistani government data, the floods directly affected about 20 million people, mostly by the destruction of property, livelihoods and infrastructure.
