THE father of a heavyweight boxing champion made a surprise visit to a Bradford restaurant.

John Fury, who has become a household name through his two sons Tyson and Tommy, popped into MyLahore earlier this week.

The Great Horton Road establishment served Fury and his friends on Wednesday.

They enjoyed a series of starters, curries, and took some food away with them.

Fury even took a call from his famous son whilst taking in the dining experience.

Ishfaq Farooq, director for MyLahore, said: "John came in on Wednesday and absolutely loved it.

"He was really amazed about the food. He said he had never had food like this before.

"He had a couple of curry dishes and he had a starter, and food to takeaway.

"We sat him upstairs. People recognised him and he was talking with them.

"Whilst he was in the restaurant he was on the phone to Tyson Fury.

"He said next time he will bring Tyson down for sure."

The current WBC title holder was last spotted in Bradford when he ate at Mr T's on the same road in 2019.

MyLahore has welcomed several famous faces into their restaurant down the years including Prince William and Kate.
