Numerous half term events will be held across Bradford Council venues in the coming days.

At Bradford Council’s museums children can unleash their creativity at inspiration den building workshops, take part in a Scouting Badge Seekers Trail, upcycle their old clothes, embark on an outdoors cosmic play sensory experience, enjoy messy play, take part in construction challenges, and recycled materials craft sessions. They’ll also be able to learn about the Art of the Samurai and have a go at Anime drawing and take part in relaxing Tai Chi sessions.

Between 10 and 24 February Cliffe Castle Museum in Keighley is also taking part in The Twitchers Museum Adventure which is being organised by Kids In Museums and Walker Books. Pick up a free activity sheet and join in a national family trail celebrating the release of Feather, the latest book in the Twitcher Series from bestselling author M G Leonard.

Bradford Council’s Markets Team have been working with the The National Science and Media Museum who will be taking over The Oastler Market this half-term on Wednesday 14 February for a day of science shows, astronauts, story-time, sandbox, Lego building and spacecraft.

Libraries across the Bradford district also have a programme events and activities including Valentine’s Day story-time and craft, Pancake Day stories and songs, a film screening and dance workshops and activities on the theme of Sports Day. There will also be stories and craft sessions based on a space theme with author and illustrator Kate Pankhurst based on her book We Are All Astronauts.
