SNOW came to Bradford this week, so we’ve delved into our archive and found this photo of the winter of 1958.
Pictured here is a street in Clayton, where a heavy snowfall was causing problems for these delivery trucks, and the buses behind.
This week the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for “a period of snowfall” in Bradford, as well as the rest of Yorkshire, Lancashire, the Midlands, Cumbria, the north-east, and most of Wales.
The flurry of snow brought some disruption to road and air travel, and other services such as mobile phones and wi-fi connections were affected.
We’ve seen it all before, as this photo from our archive shows.
