A DRIVER was fined and had to pay costs of over £1,000 and received five points on their licence after being found guilty of driving 48mpn in 30mph zone on a busy Bradford road.

Officers from the Steerside Enforcement Team were in court today and spoke about the driver's punishment after being caught for the offence on Manchester Road in Bradford.

In a post on Facebook, the Steerside Enforcement Team wrote: "One of our officers has been at court today in relation to a speeding offence from last year; 48mph in a 30mph zone on Manchester Road.

"The driver was found guilty, five points and over £1,200 in fines and costs."

The Steerside Enforcement Team were also on Sir Fred Hoyle Way in Bingley today, where they stopped a car for a document check.

In a post on Facebook, the Steerside officers found the vehicle to have been uninsured since November.

The car was seized and the driver reported for the offence.
