AN unknown artist dubbed "Saltaire's Banksy" has been putting smiles on people's faces.
The artist has been displaying painted stones and pebbles with colourful designs and inspirational messages in Roberts Park.
A resident - who asked not to be named but said they weren't "Saltaire's Banksy" - told the Telegraph & Argus: "It really cheers me up to see them.
"I have often seen people taking photos.
"What a lovely idea - it is making people feel good before Christmas.
"I only wish I was as talented as Saltaire's Banksy."
One of the wonderful messages on a pebble there says: "I see the colours of your soul radiating far and wide. It is a gift you can't stop giving. It is a light you cannot hide."
Roberts Park, situated on the north side of the River Aire, is linked to Saltaire via a footbridge over the River Aire at the bottom of Victoria Road.
