DESPITE a slightly wet start, yesterday's (Tuesday) Kilnsey Show enjoyed a warm and sunny day with thousands of exhibitors, locals and visitors pouring through the gates.

Whether it was the sheep, cattle or horses people had come to see, to buy something from one of the stalls, to see the ever-popular Sheep Show, birds of prey, the crag race, or one of the many other attractions, there was plenty to keep everyone entertained.

The day ended with the harness-racing, for the last time with Peter Deighton as commentator, who told the crowd he was calling it a day after 50 years.

Here is a selection of photographs from the show. More pictures, a report and results to follow.
