A FREE event for Craven business owners aimed at getting the best from their staff is due to be held at Skipton Town Hall in March.

The event - People at the Heart of Business- will take place in the morning of Wednesday, March 1 and will be led by Michelle Mook, managing director of leadership consultancy Pro-Development.

Employee engagement has been identified as one of the biggest challenges for small to medium size businesses, and Michelle will be aiming to inspire people to find new ways to get the best from their teams.

She will guide owners and managers to reflect on their own behaviours and personality types and consider how their teams operate. The session will help leaders to recognise the strengths in their teams and identify where skills gaps exist.

With more than experience, Michelle will also share ideas and a framework to help managers to understand the key drivers for developing employee engagement. She will also provide top tips to inspire employees to 'drive transformational growth'.

The workshop is part of a programme of events being held by Craven District Council with funding support from the European Regional Development Fund.

It will take place from 9am to midday. Book a place at the event at: https://people_at_the_heart_of_business.eventbrite.co.uk
