One of Bradford's biggest schools has been forced to close to hundreds of students today.

Bradford Forster Academy was forced to close to years 7 to 10, on Fenby Avenue, on Friday.

The school was partially closed due to a burst water main outside the secondary school.

The academy said Year 11 students are only permitted to come in because they are sitting exams.

But parents hoping the school would reopen today have been disappointed.

A message from the school said: "Due to misinformation from Yorkshire Water, unfortunately the Academy has to remain closed to all students today (Monday 12 December). Work will be put on Teams for all year groups. Year 11 Mock Exams will be rescheduled. Sorry for the inconvenience."
