An alcoholic diabetic who had to be put to bed by his flatmates was found dead on the floor the next day, an inquest heard today.
But despite Edward O'Gorman being found by his friends slumped drunk' surrounded by a bottle of cider and cans of lager the day before he died, he hardly had "virtually nil" alcohol in his system at the time of his post mortem, the Bradford hearing was told.
The post mortem revealed former farm labourer Mr O'Gorman, who was 59 and lived at Otley Road, Shipley, died of a brain haemorrage and that his chronic alcoholism would have contributed to it.
His body was found on the floor of his flat on July 18 last year by his flatmates - coroner Roger Whittaker recorded a verdict of natural causes.
