A 22-year-old man struggled with a security guard, elbowing him three times, after he was caught fleeing with stolen DVDs.
Bingley magistrates heard today that Andrew Dresler had been chased by the guard from the HMV store in Bradford along Broadway and Manor Row, on November 20, last year, having stolen two DVDs.
Three months later he was arrested after stealing four DVDs from the Asda store in Shipley, walking out with the discs in a draw-string bag.
Dresler, of Oakroyd Terrace, Manningham, Bradford, pleaded guilty to both offences of theft and to assault and the bench adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be prepared. He was remanded on bail until April 25.
