When police arrived at the Keighley home of Gavin Wilson's mother he was drunk and shouting abuse, Bingley magistrates were told.
Wilson of Leylands House, Keighley, admitted on Wednesday to abusive and insulting behaviour in Hainworth Wood Road, Keighley, on Monday, March 31.
The bench was told the 33 year-old was already the subject of an anti-social behaviour order, which was not due to expire until 2010.
Amanda McGuinness, prosecuting, said Wilson had been drinking at the pub all afternoon when he called at his mother's and became abusive. She telephoned the police, fearing for her safety.
Nigel Jamieson, for Wilson, said his client could not recall his behaviour but accepted it was caused by drink.
He was arrested and had already spent 48 hours in police cells before appearing in court and was extremely despondent.
Magistrates ordered a pre-sentence report and remanded Wison on bail until Wednesday April 23.
