Campaigners have released this image showing their proposals to create a third tower at the former Odeon cinema.
The Bradford Odeon Rescue Group (Borg) says the additional tower would form a vital part of its plans to retain and restore the building.
The group's plan would see the site housing a 132-bed hotel, 210 car parking spaces, a nightclub for 700 people and a refurbished auditorium holding 2,200.
A spokesman for Borg said: "The frontage is covered in white terracotta blocks which would be removed to make way for the glass frontage.
"Those materials would be recycled to create a third tower on the corner of Thornton Road and Quebec Street.
"We are creating another elevation so, instead of just a frontage, the building will become L-shaped. You would no longer see the horrible back of the building. All that brickwork would go."
The 77-year-old building has been earmarked for demolition as part of a £55 million mixed-use scheme being spearheaded by Bradford Centre Regeneration.
Last week English Heritage rejected the latest bid for the building to be granted listed status.
