A burst water main in Yeadon which left Leeds Bradford Airport without supply has been fixed.

Yorkshire Water dealt with the leakage as a matter of urgency, but access to toilet facilities were unavailable for around 20 minutes.

The water supply has since returned to Leeds Bradford, meaning all retail, lounge and toilets are now fully operational.

In the latest update from the airport, a spokesperson for Leeds Bradford said: "Thank you for your patience. We’ve been informed that Yorkshire Water has fixed the problem.

"Water is now back on and all retail, lounge, and toilet facilities in the airport."

A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “A leak on a water main in Yeadon caused low water pressure in the area.

"Our teams were on site quickly to restore water pressure to Leeds Bradford Airport and are continuing to work to fully repair the main.”

In an earlier statement, a spokesperson for Leeds Bradford said: "Due to a burst water main at nearby Yeadon, running water is currently not available at LBA, meaning toilet facilities are currently not available. Yorkshire Water is resolving the situation ASAP, but we urge passengers to use toilet facilities before arriving at the terminal."
