BELLWAY Homes has given would-be buyers a first glimpse of its new Skipton development, Clifford Gardens – with the housebuilder unveiling the first images of the 188-home scheme.

The development, which is due to launch later this year, will be located on a 16.5-acre site off the town’s Carleton Road and will comprise a ‘strong mix’ of different home types and sizes, including two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, says the developer. Prices will start at £219,995 for a two-bed home.

The images that have been released show a selection of the house types due to be built as well as a street scene of the new development.

Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “Interest in Clifford Gardens is enormous with hundreds of people from all over the county registering their interest in the development – and I’m sure this number will surge when people finally get a chance to see for themselves what the excitement is all about.”

Bellway says all of the homes planned for Clifford Gardens are designed and built to its exacting high standards.

It recently retained its five-star status with the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for a sixth successive year.

The rating is awarded only when 90 per cent or more of customers state they would happily recommend a housebuilder to a friend or family member. HBF’s ratings are based on a survey of all new home buyers over a calendar year.

Ms Smith added: “Our reputation for building homes that buyers love is long established, and we don’t just stop there – we’re here to create homes and communities that people will love in an environment they’ll be proud to call home.”

Bellway announced earlier in the year that it will invest close to £400,000 in infrastructure and leisure improvements during its time in Skipton.

This includes £230,000 that will be spent on a range of local highway infrastructure improvements, £20,000 on a travel plan fund, and £115,000 that will be spent by Craven District Council on the development of open space improvements at Sandylands Sports Centre. The development also has provision for 37 affordable homes.
