The scene of the collision at West Marton
EMERGENCY services are currently at the scene of a collision between a Royal Mail Parcel Force articulated lorry and a car on the A59 at West Marton, near Skipton.
Police and an ambulance are at the scene of the collision which happened at around 10pm on the crossroads in the centre of the village.
The A59 is closed in both directions and is expected to be closed for some time. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
