The cab of a lorry was destroyed by fire after the vehicle burst into flames as it delivered refuse to a tip.
Firefighters suspect the blaze was caused by an electrical fault in the tipper lorry, which was only about six months old. The incident happened at the refuse tip off Thornton Road, Queensbury, at about 2pm today.
Fire crews from Illingworth and Fairweather Green spent about an hour tackling the blaze and making the scene safe.
