Skipton Girls' High School is taking Mongolia by storm.
Rosie Hindle, 17, Sarah Osborne, 16, Heather Taylor, 17, Helen Mercer, 16, and Laura Wade, 16, are going to Asia as part of a Yorkshire Schools Exploring Society expedition.
The year 12 pupils fly out at the end of July and over the next month will trek with wranglers in Terelj and Khovsgol National Parks, work with orphans on a summer camp in Ulaan Baatar, teach English and carry out conservation work.
The girls have never been to the country before and they will make up around a third of the total party.
But they insist they will not be sticking together and are keen to meet other people and take part in group events.
All five girls must raise £3,000 before they can set off so they are all working hard at their out-of-school jobs.
They are also all planning to take part in a Three Peaks Challenge soon.
